TIOGA by reSAWN TIMBER co. features plain sawn, select grade NORTH AMERICAN WHITE OAK – for flooring and wall cladding. PLAIN SAWN boards are produced by cutting tangentially to a tree’s growth rings producing the familiar “cathedral” or “flame” pattern on the board face.
The annual growth rings are generally at a 0° – 30° angle to the face of the board. white oak coloration varies from light brown to cream – the heartwood is light brown, while the sapwood is white to cream. Some boards may have a pinkish tint or a slight grayish cast. TIOGA is prefinished with our hardwax oil which is natural, non-toxic and 100% VOC-free. our hardwax oil produces a durable, matte finish that respects the natural look and feel of the wood.
