ABOUT THE PROJECT

Ambit Architecture specified reSAWN’s MEDITATION white oak for this condo in Marco Island.  MEDITATION is standardly a mix of rift & quarter sawn white oak.  For this project, AMBIT specified all rift sawn white oak with a minimum length of 5′ to minimize seams and create clean lines for this ceiling cladding.

Intense attention to both detail and material highlight this renovation of a 2,400 sf condominium unit in Marco Island, FL. The existing interior space was completely gutted and reorganized to create a flow more conducive to a “hotel-like” atmosphere. With frequent guests, bedrooms are designed as respites, appointed with amenities to accommodate multiple families. Living, Kitchen, and Dining areas are designed to foster casual, communal socializing with views focused on the beach and the tranquil Gulf of Mexico. Ambit was commissioned to design all millwork, cabinetry, built-in furnishings, lighting, and finishes.
