Joining forces with FENNIE+MEHL Architects in San Francisco, ENV New York created the New York office for Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) located in the Park Avenue South district. The materials used for the design play a large role in making both staff and visitors feel at ease and comfortable in the space. All of these elements are combined thoughtfully to embody what SVB believes is the core of its values and success. The completed space makes SVB stand out as a financial player in what is arguably the most competitive banking market in the world. Special attention was also taken in the overall branding and detailing of the space, including the choice of reSAWN’s GOVERNOR european white oak flooring and wall cladding. GOVERNOR european white oak was used as flooring throughout the space’s collaborative meeting areas and open SVB Café. The architects also incorporated GOVERNOR into a feature wall in the lounge area of the office.

reSAWN’s european white oak is prefinished and available in engineered construction. The engineered material comes standard at 5/8” thick with a substantial 4 mm wear layer, or 3/4” thick with a full 6 mm wear layer for a truly superior product. The 7” face width showcases the full character and grain pattern that European White Oak has to offer.
