Sylva™: Thermally Modified Red Oak
American Hardwood, Reimagined by RESAWN
Sylva is our own approach to thermally modified wood, crafted from domestically sourced North American red oak and manufactured in Pennsylvania. Using only heat and steam, the process transforms the wood’s cell structure for exceptional stability, with no added chemicals.
Crafted Close to Home
Each board is heated to up to 400°F, then steamed to recondition the wood, deepening red oak’s natural warmth and reducing moisture absorption. Grown and made entirely in the USA, Sylva™ pairs durable performance with domestic sourcing that helps limit transportation emissions, while retaining the carbon stored in the wood throughout its service life.
