The Seven Ponds House is located in Water Mill, NY, a picturesque hamlet in the Town of Southampton on Long Island’s East End. Known for its blend of historic charm and modern luxury, Water Mill offers an idyllic lifestyle that seamlessly integrates natural beauty, artistic culture, and upscale living. The black thermally modified cladding makes a bold statement while maintaining a refined presence, with its rich tones adding depth and sophistication to the home’s overall design. This timeless finish is favored for its enduring appeal and cohesive aesthetic.
The exterior is clad in thermally modified fine sawn face wood cladding, selected for its rich black finish, textured surface, and exceptional long-term performance. The fine sawn face accentuates the natural depth of the wood grain while allowing for optimal finish penetration, creating a façade with lasting visual character.
Crafted from sustainably managed New Zealand plantation timber, Abodo® Vulcan is thermally modified and engineered with a patented vertical grain orientation that delivers outstanding dimensional stability, weather resistance, and durability. The combination of thermal modification and reduced resin content makes it well suited for demanding exterior applications while ensuring the home’s refined appearance will endure over time.
East End Building Company served as the builder, bringing extensive experience in custom residential construction to the project.
