AutoCamp offers overnight lodging and accommodations in modern Airstream suites and luxurious tents at Cape Cod, Yosemite National Park, the Russian River Valley, and coming in Fall 2021 to Joshua Tree National Park. AutoCamp brings high-end, boutique-style amenities, mid-century modern design, and welcoming hospitality to some of the world’s most beautiful natural places.

The central clubhouse features a mid-century modern Cape Cod aesthetic that complements the natural, idyllic setting of the space. The interior features reSAWN’s OKANOGAN Western Hemlock CVG wall and ceiling cladding with accents in MONOGATARI 2.0 shou sugi ban charred cypress wall cladding. For a similar look to OKANOGAN, see reSAWN’s WILLIWAW Alaskan Yellow Cedar CVG.  Modern furniture with pops of color as well as steel and concrete accents are throughout the clubhouse. This space provides a private area for guests to host meetings and small events and relax and unwind after a day out on the Cape.

reSAWN TIMBER co offers Western Hemlock because of its impeccably straight uniform grain structure, fine texture, and is creamy white to light gold color. It is typically found and sustainably harvested on the Pacific NorthWest coast of North America and is one of the most valuable sources of lumber in the northern hemisphere – it’s the largest of the hemlock species. Its wide and prolific availability and its ability to quickly rejuvenate make this species very sustainable. Specimens range from 90 to 150 feet tall and 3 to 4.5 feet wide, though some specimens have been known to grow to heights of 250 feet and diameters approaching 9 feet.

MONOGATARI 2.0 is made with cypress sourced from the Southern United States and can be used for interior wall cladding, ceiling cladding, and exterior siding. With its legendary beauty and natural durability, cypress has long been a staple as an exterior wood siding product. Because cypress generates its own preservative oil, called cypressene, it’s an ideal wood for locations with constant heat, humidity, and torrential rains.

The Workshop/APD aesthetic is indefinable, because each project is characterized by a unique combination of talents and circumstances that is impossible to recreate; the perfect team, collaborators and consultants, endlessly unique project locations, and client needs and desires. However, their work – obsessively detailed and crafted, inviting and intentional – is unmistakable. Their team, led by founding principals Andrew Kotchen, Matt Berman and principal architect Thomas J. Zoli is inquisitive, conscious and above all passionate, finding inspiration in new creative perspectives among colleagues and clients.
