Fairway Nine is shaped around long, horizontal views of the surrounding peaks and White Clouds Golf Course in Sun Valley, ID. Low rooflines and broad expanses of glass open the home to shifting light and unobstructed views.
A palette of CUSTOM Weathered Cypress cladding and CUSTOM Accoya® soffits give the exterior a quiet, textural presence that settles naturally into the mountainous environment. To achieve a clean, linear appearance, we custom-milled a tongue and groove profile for the cladding that allows for crisp transitions and consistent lines across the façade. A custom trim detail, finished on all 4 sides, reinforces the refined geometry of the exterior.
Installation guidelines and coordinated sampling ensured a final design with lasting stability, clear visual intent, and a natural patina that will help the home blend into the landscape over time. Emphasizing durability, consistency, and a deliberate, restrained palette, the exterior achieves a grounded presence that complements the site’s expansive views.
