Project Overview
Fairway Nine is designed to embrace the expansive mountain landscape of Sun Valley, Idaho. Oriented around panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and the White Clouds Golf Course, the residence combines low rooflines, broad expanses of glass, and a restrained material palette to create a seamless connection between architecture and nature.
The home’s understated design allows the surrounding landscape to remain the focal point while establishing a refined, contemporary presence.
Exterior Material Selection
A combination of CUSTOM Weathered Cypress cladding and CUSTOM Accoya® soffits creates a warm, textural exterior that naturally complements the mountain setting. The carefully selected materials provide a quiet architectural expression while offering the durability and stability required for long-term exterior performance.
To achieve the home’s clean, linear aesthetic, RESAWN custom milled a tongue-and-groove cladding profile that delivers crisp transitions and uninterrupted lines across the façade. A custom four-sided finished trim detail further reinforces the project’s precise geometry and refined detailing.
Custom Fabrication & Technical Support
Throughout the specification process, RESAWN collaborated with the project team by providing coordinated product samples, custom milling capabilities, and technical installation guidance. This early coordination helped validate material selections and ensure the custom profiles aligned with the architectural intent.
The resulting exterior combines lasting durability, dimensional stability, and a naturally weathering finish that will continue to blend harmoniously with the surrounding landscape while maintaining the home’s clean, contemporary character.
