The exterior features IKIGAI charred acetylated modified wood, selected for its durability, dimensional stability, and low-maintenance performance. The charred finish provides a refined, monolithic appearance that complements the home’s modern architecture while allowing the façade to weather consistently over time.
To reinforce the clean geometry of the design, the project incorporates over 10,000 square feet of IKIGAI in a 1×8 profile, along with custom-milled trim and 3-1/2”–5” V2 mitered corner assemblies that create long, uninterrupted transitions across the exterior.
