This home in Whatawhata, New Zealand was designed to create a series of functional outdoor spaces for the owners to enjoy the exotic environment. The Abodo Vulcan Decking is featured in the outdoor dining and bathing spaces, and additional lounging areas for enjoying the sun. The uncoated finish will allow the deck to naturally fade and blend into the surrounding landscape around the home.

Vulcan Decking is created using thermally modified FSC® certified New Zealand grown plantation pine, which is treated with an organic preservative that gives it a high level of water repellency and durability. The thermal modification process involves steam and high temperatures of over 190 degrees celsius, followed by a cooling and reconditioning phase, resulting in a timber that is stable in any climate and weather.
