Construction is underway on this private residence in the coastal neighborhood of Belle Harbor, New York, just one block from the beach with views of both the Atlantic Ocean and Jamaica Bay. Designed to embrace its waterfront setting, the home features WILLIWAW Alaskan Yellow Cedar exterior cladding, bringing a weathered, natural aesthetic that complements the surrounding coastal landscape.
The project features WILLIWAW, selected for its naturally weathered appearance, durability, and long-term exterior performance. Sourced from the Pacific coast, WILLIWAW provides a consistent weathered aesthetic from the time of installation while minimizing the visual variation commonly associated with naturally aging wood. Its dimensional stability and resistance to rot make it well suited for coastal residential applications.
