This past weekend we participated in the 2016 Architectural Digest Design Show in New York along side Cartwright NY. The Architectural Digest Design Show (ADDS) is the essential showcase for luxury design. The four-day fair showcases design offerings from more than 400 brands, including well-known manufacturers and independent makers.
“There are a lot of big brands that you’d expect here, but it’s kind of amazing how many smaller brands you can discover. It’s a free look as an architect at what’s going on in the world of design and what’s emerging right now.”
—David Rockwell, Founder & President of Rockwell Group
reSAWN partnered with Cartwright NY for the 2nd year in a row. Cartwright New York produces classic, timeless lighting and accessories for residential and hospitality clients, helmed by visionary Carolyn Cartwright. We were part of a featured area of the show called “MADE”. MADE featured juried galleries of more than 150 artists and designers – from local and emerging artisans to international studios –showcase original art, fine furniture, sculpture, textiles, and lighting, all of which is available for purchase or special order.
The 2016 show featured 2 pieces of furniture by RSTco. as well as MOYASU :: shou sugi ban charred wood wall cladding. The furniture included a book matched live edge black walnut table with shou sugi ban charred edges to compliment the black patina finished steel base design by Carolyn. The 2nd piece was a cabinet custom made for the show based on the design of our Credenza 1. This piece also makes use of our unique finishing capabilities with a wrap of red oak shou sugi ban charred black.
