North Boulder Residence is a design vision coming to life in the vibrant, active city of Boulder, Colorado, just northwest of Denver. Framed by the Flatirons and the base of the Rocky Mountains, the residence supports exterior architecture with interior experience.
Specified by Mosaic Architects and Interiors, the project used RESAWN as a single source for both cladding and flooring materials, helping streamline the selection process and create continuity throughout the home. The design team was seeking products that could deliver a distinctive wood expression while aligning with the project’s focus on innovative, sustainable, and high-quality materials.
Through collaboration between the project teams and RESAWN, the exterior specification achieved a unique pre-weathered natural tone using CUSTOM Cypress, while the flooring solutions helped create a cohesive palette throughout the project. Custom-finished floor vents that matched the flooring were another component provided to enable a seamless finished appearance throughout the space.
Technical support played an important role throughout the process. RESAWN worked alongside the project team to provide resources and recommendations related to best practices, installation details, and performance considerations. A key part of this support included guidance for flooring installation over heated floor systems while maintaining warranty coverage. Through close collaboration between the builder, design team, and RESAWN’s technical services team, North Boulder Residence achieved its design vision with a cohesive material expression across exterior and interior applications.
