The Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University is a world-renowned research center dedicated to advancing innovations in healthcare, sustainability, and environmental science through interdisciplinary collaboration. Located in Boston’s Fenway district, the Institute’s headquarters is designed to foster interaction between researchers, seamlessly connecting laboratories, offices, and collaborative spaces through an open network of corridors and a central staircase.
Throughout the building, more than 4,000 square feet of European White Oak flooring creates a warm, inviting environment that complements the Institute’s contemporary architecture while supporting a healthy, collaborative workplace.

European White Oak flooring was selected for its timeless appearance, durability, and suitability for high-traffic commercial environments. Its warm, natural character softens the contemporary research facility while creating a cohesive backdrop for collaboration and innovation.
