In Springfield, Missouri, the Over/Under House continues to make progress, bringing a distinct architectural form to a growing residential neighborhood. Designed as the architect’s personal home, the project required materials that could support the design intent and the family’s health-focused priorities.

As this project was introduced, the architect’s focus was to seek a low-to-no-VOC exterior cladding product that was highly sustainable while being dimensionally stable and low-maintenance.

TEAK met the project’s needs with a low-VOC finish, natural durability, and long-term performance suited for exterior cladding alongside pre-weathered steel. Before final selection, the architect reviewed product samples, weathering guides, completed project references, and utilized RESAWN’s weathered sample library to better understand how TEAK would evolve, providing confidence in both its initial appearance and long-term weathered expression. Throughout the specification and installation process, RESAWN provided technical product data and installation guidance to help support the project team from design through construction.
