The Asher Adams Hotel transformed Sale Lake City’s historic 1908 Union Pacific Depot into a contemporary hospitality destination, integrating the restored landmark with a new eight story guest tower. Inspired by the industrious, golden age of rail travel, the adaptive reuse project blends original fixtures, tiles, and windows with new design materials.
The guest rooms incorporate TOFF European White Oak flooring to add warmth and character that balance the station’s historic charm with modern detailing. In the signature suites, TOFF complements the high ceilings and large historic windows to blend the preserved architecture with updated amenities.
Asher Adams serves as a central entertainment hub in downtown Salt Lake City, containing several new food and beverage venues. No.119, a craft cocktail bar overlooking the Grand Hall’s lobby, features WILLIAMSPORT North American Black Walnut flooring. The rich tonality and refined grain of WILLIAMSPORT complement the bar’s original stained glass windows and elegant décor. With a substantial 4mm wear layer, our engineered wood floor performs reliably in the high-traffic environment.
As with any adaptive reuse project, Asher Adams required thoughtful material coordination between historic and contemporary construction. Collaborating with the design team, our Specification Consultant and technical team supported this effort through engineered wood flooring samples and installation support to ensure alignment of color, texture, and integration within new and restored spaces.
