Located in the vibrant and historic port city of Baltimore, Maryland, the Ashford residence demonstrates how technical collaboration can strengthen architectural design. Defined by clean lines, modern tones, and carefully considered material selections, the project reflects a coordinated approach between project teams to achieve a durable, refined exterior.

Throughout the design and installation process, RESAWN worked alongside the architect by providing technical resources, installation guidance, and ongoing collaboration to support the specification of modified wood and successful application. This partnership helped ensure the exterior cladding met the project’s aesthetic vision and long-term performance expectations.

After attending a modified wood CEU, the project team gained additional knowledge around the durability, warranty, and expected performance lifespan of modified wood. This aided in the confidence of selecting modified wood cladding for this project.

The architect was looking for a high-performing black wood cladding that balanced durability, affordability, and aesthetic intent. NATT was specified to achieve the desired dark wood appearance while supporting the performance needs of the exterior application. Having worked with RESAWN’s products on previous projects, the architect was already familiar with the material’s quality and long-term performance.

As a builder of coastal communities, Myers Greene Architects presents innovative approaches to the challenges of the coastal environment to build stunning homes that reflect not only the resident but also the intent behind each design.
