The apartments are close to boutique shopping, countless bars, museums, and art galleries – while also being within walking distance of San Francisco Bay. The interiors of The George feature well-crafted, luxury amenities including resident lounges, rooftop terraces, a private bar and clubroom, a co-working library, and a state-of-the-art fitness center. One of the resident lounges features reSAWN TIMBER co. VETTE Shou Sugi Ban Kebony interior wall cladding. The shou sugi ban charred walls provide a beautiful dark contrast to the other warmer wooden tones throughout the shared space. The space receives ample natural light due to the large windows, and the beautiful detailing of the wood is accentuated when the sun hits it.
VETTE by reSAWN TIMBER co. features charred Kebony wood burnt in the Japanese style of shou sugi ban. VETTE can be used for interior or exterior wall cladding. VETTE gives the Kebony shou sugi ban exterior siding a recognizable amount of texture and depth that combines with reSAWN’s award-winning charred aesthetic to create a distinct and striking design.
The Kebony technology permanently transforms sustainable wood species into Kebony wood with features that are comparable and in some cases superior, to those of precious tropical hardwoods. The company’s patent-protected production processes yield products that deliver major improvements in durability and dimensional stability, at the same time as being highly attractive. Kebony products are suitable for a multitude of applications and designs – encompassing both indoor and outdoor applications.
