Nestled into the coastal landscape of Cape Cod, the Truro House emerges as a carefully crafted retreat that harmonizes with its natural surroundings. The home’s design thoughtfully integrates with the mature trees and shrubs of the hillside, creating a connection between architecture and the environment. Clad in Shou Sugi Ban Accoya®, the charcoal-like exterior complements the local vegetation and provides a durable, weather-resistant finish that stands up to the coastal elements with understated elegance.

IKIGAI by reSAWN TIMBER co. features charred Accoya® wood finished with the traditional Japanese Shou Sugi Ban technique. It’s suitable for both interior and exterior wall cladding. Accoya® wood combines decades of research with advanced acetylation technology, resulting in a high-performance material ideal for outdoor use and challenging applications.
