WEATHERWORN: Weatherworn is reclaimed barn siding in the raw. The boards go through the typical reclamation process of power washing and denailing with the original patina of the board face left untouched. No finish is required as the boards have been naturally oxidized over the years to produce a tough, weather resistant “skin”. Colors can vary from gray, light brown to dark brown.

OLD SCHOOL & OLD YELLER begin as WEATHERWORN and go thru an additional step called “skip planing”. Skip planing is a process whereby the boards are put thru a planer set to only remove the high points, “skipping” over the low points to create contrast. Typical character marks include mineral staining, color changes, weathering, checking, nail holes, knots, and heavy patina. Available in SOLID ONLY. Call to discuss custom lengths and widths. TRADEMARK is mixed species reclaimed barn siding that has been skip planed and finished with a hardwax oil. Skip planing is a process whereby the boards are put thru a planer set to only remove the high points, “skipping” over the low points to create contrast. Expected a wide variety of color and generous amounts of character. This material has a textured surface. Typical character marks include mineral staining, color changes, weathering, checking, nail holes, and knots.
