ABOUT THE PROJECT

reSAWN TIMBER co.’s  corporate headquarters was recently renovated to house executive management and support staff, plus plenty of manufacturing space for product design & production. 

The goal of the design/build renovation with Ernst Brothers was to fit out the public spaces and the main office areas – lobby, showroom, cafe, main corridors, conference room, and outdoor deck and entertainment area to better reflect the clientele that we serve – architects and interior designers.

reSAWN’s lobby and showroom are clad entirely in reSAWN’s MATTERHORN wide plank European White Oak wall cladding. A custom scalloped-edge reception desk made by Dwight Alderfer with a mix of locally sourced, antique reclaimed white and red oak beams along with a custom prefab concrete reception desktop is the focal point of the lobby. 

The showroom is anchored by a custom made North American White Oak table carefully crafted by JB Woodworking. Antique finished Brass shelves designed & finished by reSAWN TIMBER co frame the walls. The showroom pendant lights were designed by Tom Raffield Ltd. Our product samples are housed in repurposed Hamilton Vintage Wooden Flat file drawers circa 1920 sourced from Brookvale Artisans.

The cafe is framed by a vertical slat wall constructed of North American White Oak in our AMITY matte polyurethane finish. The custom cafe table is made from antique reclaimed White Oak & finished with hardwax oil. The custom cabinetry is made with AMITY European White Oak as well. 

At the other end of the building, the conference room features an up-cycled, locally sourced, bookmatched Black Walnut charred live edge conference table, designed & finished by reSAWN TIMBER co. The live edge of the table emphasizes the knots and grain structure, highlighting the material’s character and beauty. With the dark tones of the walnut top and the blackened steel base, the aesthetic is simplistic and modern.

In the near future, we plan to hold showroom and manufacturing facility tours, pop-up events, and industry related educational workshops.
